Welsh mountain flowers

A painting in my series inspired by the Japanese masters and using their visual language in a new direction coupled with British Impressionism.

Here I have aimed for another 'happy' piece, with an aim to use colour and form to implant suggestions of emotions into the viewer's mind. Painted using a watercolour wash on locally made on a watermill watercolour card with gouaché paint added heavily over the top to create bold colours and textures to the surface.
