Mountain Air, above Ebbw Vale
A moody winter’s day high above the town of Ebbw Vale, a small row of terraces known as Mountain Air. This tundra-esq landscape offers a sense of homeliness and bleakness in one. Painted in part on location and finished in the studio this contemporary watercolour painting explore this unique landscape in what I hope is a sentimental way.
Painted in March 2021, using granulating watercolour on locally made water mill & handmade paper with a rough texture and dappled edge.
Quater Imperial size, 420x300mm. Can be supplied mounted and framed at cost price.
