Hanami, a blossom of life, spring and joy.

‘Hanami’ is the Japanese tradition of celebrating the transient beauty of flowers. Particularly when they are in bloom and the flowers look the most beautiful displaying their blossom.

This last few weeks have felt like a Hanami festival in the studio with a burst of inspiring colours, flowers and spring like emotions coming together to enter the transient state of flowers in bloom. Lots of new artwork being put together and lots of exciting new ideas forming.

With the third Covid-19 lockdown coming to an end it is like all of our national community is coming into Hanami, celebrating the blossoming of hope and renewed freedoms to see our friends, family and places we love.

The new exhibition for the Art Gallery will be Hanami, celebrating both the hope and oncoming of spring 2021 and our hope for a colourful and peaceful future in which we can see our loved ones.

Hanami will open at the Art Gallery in Clevedon on the 17th April 2021 through to May 15

Please keep an eye on social media nearer the time in case COVID regulations change this.

I look forward to seeing you all and enjoying this blossoming of life, spring and joy with you all.
